Bazzano - Church of San Giusta

The church, from the 13th century, has a very particular façade: extremely wide and flat, more like an Apulian model than that typical of Abruzzo, staggered and animated by semicolumns (to note are the octagonal ones parallel to the door) and by the lines with animals and mythological creatures.
Inside you'll find numerous frescoes of great value, but the most particular characteristic is surely to find the trabeation of a Roman funeral monument together with a military one...used as a pillar in the central nave of the Church!
At the time of our visit (Spring 2006) the Church was being restored; still, we were able to visit it by asking for it to be opened by the custodian.
