Santo Spirito d'Ocre Monastery

The fortified Monastery of Santo Spirito d'Ocre, whose construction began in 1222, is an interesting example of a monastery-fort: around a majestic quadrangular kiosk, the church (destined to be used by the monks only), the dormitories, and the other monastic buildings rise.
The complex, closed during our site-visit in 2006, can now be visited after important restoration work.
