Campania
The "Campania Felix" (campagna felice/happy countryside) of the Romans, with its sweet, cultivated hills, containing a heart of fire in the legendary volcano, Vesuvius; with its eruptions 2000 years ago, it completely buried the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculeum.
But the treasures of this area come from all eras, from the temples of Paestum, to the powerful Reggia di Caserta, to the various marvels of Naples.
Its sea offers pearls, such as the islands of Capri, Ischia, and Procida; it has always been a favorite destination by travelers from all over the world.
